Massage therapist treating a client.

  Welcome

Welcome to my Website! You have taken an important step in caring for yourself and your body, and I truly thank you for including me in your search. At this moment, you know your body better then anybody else and you know exactly where it aches, where you feel stuck or where the tension keeps building up. Now I assume your looking for the next step, which is to do something about it.

Massage Therapy is definitely one of the best routes to take whether your looking to ease pain, improve mobility or simply have a moment of blissful relaxation. However, I encourage you to talk to your doctor first if you're unsure whether massage is appropriate for you. Massage is not intended to replace medical care or counseling, but it can be a great complement to most treatments.

It's important to know that the benefits of massage are not only felt on the massage table, the right touch will impact your body all through out the day. While getting massage frequently will bring long lasting physical, mental and emotional benefits.

These are just a few genuine examples of the power of body work:

  • Reduce muscle pain and tension
  • Enhance circulation
  • Improve concentration
  • Reduce fatigue
  • Enhance sleep quality
  • Decrease anxiety and depression
  • Relieve migrane pain
  • Increase joint flexibility
  • Enhance immunity system by stimulating lymph flow
  • Improve rehabilitation after injury
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Improve posture
  • Promote easier breathing
  • Etc.

I must emphasize that massage should never be painful or uncomfortable. The client is always in charge of the amount of pressure, no matter what type of massage modality it is. I also encourage sharing anything you feel your therapist should know because communication is key to having a great session. The more you let your body feel at ease, the better your muscles can be guided in letting go of their tension.

You can see how Therapeutic Massage is not so much a luxury but a necessity in keeping your body and mind healthy. Touch is a healing art that dates back at least 3,000 years and is still just as powerful today.
