Lori has worked in the health & fitness and medical fields for over 15 years,and has been practicing massage therapy since 1999.She completed her massage therapy training in 2002 after graduating The Bodyworks Institute in Falls Church,Va. She also earned her Associates Degree as a Medical X-Ray Tech with honors in 2007.She worked as an Orthopeadic Tech in an Orthopeadic surgery practice after graduating college.
Before completeing her massage therapy degree she worked as a personal trainer,Chiropractic assistant, and a Physical Therapy Tech .She is currently working towards her R.Y.T(registered Yoga teacher)certification through YogaFit training systems.Lori has been trained in swedish,deep tissue,reflexology and myofacial release.And has trained in sports massage under Cliff Dewitt and Active Isolated Stretching with James Graffenberg.She specializes in sports massage and has worked with athletes ranging from tri-athletes,runners,wrestlers,football players and swimmers.She enjoys working to improve the health of her clients and helping them work towards a pain free, healthy life.
Lori prides herself on living an active,clean and healthy lifestyle.She enjoys Yoga,cooking healthy meals,walking,hiking,spending time with her family and animals and anything outdoors! And she is an avid sports fan including volleyball,football,surfing and is a hard core,life long Washington Capitals fan.
Lori is nationally certified and a member of The American Massage Therapy Association, Virginia Board of Nursing, NCBTMB and a member of The National Capital Area Sports Massage Team.As well as CPR/First Aid trained.
